Your Initial Consultation
Dr. Romans or Dr. Silk will first sit down with you for a consultation at one of our offices in Salinas or Monterey. You will tell them about your expected results from the procedure, and they will review your complete medical history. A physical exam will also be performed. Finally, Dr. Romans or Dr. Silk will create a surgical plan for your natural breast enhancement.
The Procedure
Usually, general anesthesia is used for natural breast augmentation with fat transfer. Dr. Romans or Dr. Silk will also mark out the area(s) where fat will be extracted.
Liposuction is then used to gently remove donor fat. This involves creating a small incision in the donor region. A tool called a cannula is inserted, and medical suction is applied to carry the fat out of the body.
The fat will be injected into the breasts until the required volume is reached. A symmetrical and aesthetic final appearance will be provided. The surgery can take between two to three hours.
Recovery After Natural Breast Augmentation
During the first few days of recovery, you may experience mild swelling, bruising, and soreness in both the donor areas and breasts. Pain is typically minimal and can be managed with over-the-counter or prescribed medications. Wearing a compression garment over the liposuctioned areas should help reduce swelling and improve contouring.
To protect the newly transferred fat, avoid strenuous activities, heavy lifting, and intense exercise for at least three to four weeks. Sleeping on your back is also recommended to prevent pressure on the breasts during initial healing.
When Can I Expect to See Results?
