Many patients seek out natural breast augmentation with fat grafting in Salinas, CA. Natural breast augmentation involves harvesting fat from another area of the body, then enhancing breast volume using this transferred fat.
Breast Augmentation is a very popular procedure, but there are some patients that are unwilling to do it because they don’t want the potential uncertainty of breast implant complications and the possibility of future surgery to replace the implants.
Fat grafting avoids these issues and greatly reduces the potential for rejection, along with offering results that look and feel more natural. Natural breast enlargement is best for those who want minor enhancement in the size of their breasts.
Natural breast augmentation with your own fat may be a great option. All you need is an area (or areas) of your body where you have unwanted fat.
This usually involves liposuction of places like the abdomen, flanks (“love handles” or “muffin top”), back fat, and fat from the inner thighs. This fat can then be grafted into your breasts. Not only is it possible to get a nice natural breast size and shape enhancement, but you can also get the secondary benefit from liposuction of the donor areas! The other advantage of fat grafting to the breast is the fat can be injected into the areas of the breast where it is needed most. Implants only augment the one area of the breast where they are placed.
For some women, it may take more than one operation to achieve the size that they want. Each operation to graft fat into the breast has limits on the overall volume that can be successfully grafted into the breasts.
The fat deposits available also play a role in the process. Women who have larger concentrations of fat in a specific area can have that fat removed for the natural breast augmentation process. If you do not have sufficient fat deposits in one area, more excess fat can also be harvested from other sites to secure the required amount of fat. For women wishing for a larger augmentation, this may require more than one trip to the operating room.
Because of this unpredictability of how much fat injected into the breast remains, we have found that the main benefit of breast fat grafting is to add volume into areas that have contour deformities or to add volume in areas such as the upper part of the breast during a breast lift procedure. For someone who desires to add significant volume to their breasts (1-2 cup sizes or more), implants still remain the best option.
I recently had breast augmentation with Dr. Silk, and I absolutely love my results! From my initial consultation to my post-op visits, Dr. Silk was very professional and informative and always answered all of my many questions. He explained the difference between the types of implants, how the operation is done, and prepared me for recovery. I am now three months out from my surgery and my results are amazing! My breasts are even and natural looking and any discomfort has completely resolved. Dr. Silk is a wonderful person and a skilled surgeon and I will definitely be returning to him for any cosmetic needs!

Before the date of your natural breast augmentation with fat grafting, the surgeon will sit down with you for a consultation. You will tell them about your expected results from the procedure, along with your complete medical history. A physical exam will also be performed. Finally, the surgeon will create a surgical plan for your natural breast enhancement procedure.
Usually, general anesthesia is used for natural breast augmentation with fat transfer. During the surgery, the surgeon will first mark out the areas where fat will be extracted. This can be one site or multiple sites.
Liposuction is then used to gently remove donor fat. This involves the creation of a small incision in the donor region. A tool called a cannula is inserted, and medical suction is applied to carry the fat out of the body.
The surgeon will make a small incision in each breast, and the fat will be injected into the breasts until the required breast volume is reached. A symmetrical and aesthetic final appearance will be provided. The surgery can take between two to three hours.
You will be able to resume your daily activities after a week. Make sure to follow your surgeon’s post-surgical care directions carefully during natural breast augmentation recovery.
