A forehead lift can typically be performed with the aid of either a general anesthetic or a local anesthetic with IV sedation. A local anesthetic will provide numbing for the area being operated on, and you will remain conscious and comfortable during the procedure. A general anesthetic will provide numbing, and you will be unconscious for the duration of the procedure.
