A breast lift, otherwise known as mastopexy surgery, is designed to reduce the degree of sagging experienced by the breasts. This helps them look perkier and more youthful. When it comes to breast lift techniques, your plastic surgeon will have several options.

There are multiple mastopexy incision choices, each corresponding to a degree of breast sagging, or ptosis. Generally, for a smaller degree of sagging, a circle is made around the areola. A vertical incision downward may be added, along with a horizontal incision along the breast fold to combat the most extreme degree of sagging.
