Have you scheduled a mastopexy procedure, also known as a breast lift? If so, it’s important to understand the healing process. The more you understand what to expect during mastopexy recovery, the easier your recovery will be.

At the end of the mastopexy procedure, your incisions will be sealed with sutures. During mastopexy recovery, you will need to be careful with these incisions as they heal. In around two to three weeks, they will be healed to the point where the sutures can be safely removed at our office.

If dissolvable sutures were used to close the incisions, you will not need to get them removed. Instead, they will gradually dissolve and be absorbed safely into the system.

Contact our office for a consultation to speak with a qualified medical professional and get all the necessary instructions for your mastopexy recovery process.
